Personally I would love to see a regional section on the boards
Ie South west, south east, midlands, etc...
These regional sections can then be used to talk about local meets, local issues, recommending local motor shops, etc...

I have alerted the powers that be to your suggestion and I would hope they will respond soon.

Yay! thank you
Lets just hope that the powers that be decide its a good idea
I just think it will add a whole new dimension to the forum
I was thinking about regular local regional meets, trying to sort out car problems with people who are local to you, local deals, local trusted mechanics, etc etc....
Also with MK1s and MK2s getting rarer and rarer it would be nice to know who lives in your local area
Fingers crossed
Obviously I would suggest at least one Moderator and two support for each region to help with ease of use and conformity with regulations.
I'd be more than happy to do anything I can to promote 2s in my area

Hi Karl,
we thank you for your suggestion and it has been discussed at length at moderator and committee level.
Unfortunately it has been decided that our current level of traffic on IMOC does not necessitate us to split down our events section into regional sections.
Thank you

If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.
Re: Regional section on the board
Did you discuss that the lack of traffic could be down to the lack of events on the IMOC side?

Re: Regional section on the board
We need more events before we can go creating sub-forums, as otherwise the sub forums would end up being too empty.
So if people want to create more regional meets go for it, when there is enough traffic in terms of events to warrant regional event sections then we'll do it.
It's also worth remembering that some of us will travel out of our region for events too.
