Blackvue - records when your car is parked

Post by tonigmr2 »

Thinking of contacting this company

http://www.blackvue.co.uk/

Basically an incar camera system, so if your car gets dinked whilst you are away from it, it senses the movement and starts recording. You'll catch the bastards that hit your car and drive off....

It also records onto a flash card as you drive. So if you have an accident you have video footage. It'll continually record over so you don't have to change it etc.

If you are interested reply below and I'll see if I can get a discount on a group buy, I know they have done in the past.

It is a little expensive to behonest i'm pretty sure you could custom build something the same for far cheaper. I do like the idea but you'd need more than one camera. :thumleft:

I've seen on another forum quite a keen discount, so I could see what it is. I guess any GPS system that is knock sensitive might be a few quid.

Draven, there's no way most of us could build it, but knock yourself out.

That is true. I have made something simliar previously but I guess you'd have to be quite techy to do it. I don't really have a car worth protecting at the moment.

maybe I should make some and sell them

Hahaha, easy but on small numbers it wouldn't be cheap. I work for an invention design house and just to get a prototype built in my spare time would be about the cost of the one listed above.

you could knock up a cheap one for about £50 i would guess without gps

Many of us may have standalone GPS units

Connect one to a "cheap" recorder perhaps :?:
