Print this page and take it with you to MOT. Helps if you let the tester know about the exempt status.

if you have an M plate or older yes, N plate or younger no

how do you work that out?? If the engine is in vgc the sensor wont detect the lack of a cat - and if it fails just lean it out for the test (then return to standard). Easy!

Yeah well sadly the limits for the CAT test are very low and most cars in vgc will still fail.
