Rise of the Phoenix

Post by lockys96 »

following on from:

http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... ht=sleeved

i think ill start a thread O:)

Car has been off the road for a long time.

Have decided to sell the greddy t4 manifold and gt35 turbo and go full-race while i have the opportunity.

full-race turbo kit comes in at £4k, have a new discontinued sard mig muffler to go on, (my 4th exhaust in under a year) hoping for this one to be more silent, if possible ](*,) :-k

Still on the list to do.

downsize pistons for reliabilty 87mm to 86.5
sleeve the block
adapt/make new manifold/wastegate/downpipe fit
move oil cooler
trim dash and cut away A/C, heater matrix, unused wiring
put all back together with new gaskets etc and run in

things to complete after

duct all brakes
engine fans
carbon doors
bespoke fia weld in cage
t888 tyres
camber/suspension setup

Nice, How much do you charge for cutting grass with that splitter???

Are you going to make it more of a Track car or are you going to keep it road friendly?

Looking good.

I do love these Phoenix power cars.
Just had one slip through my fingures for a second time.
I have been following a black one since it came into the country through Julian about 7 years ago. Missed out on purchasing it about 4 years ago and it looks like I have missed out again, the money is just sitting there waiting. ](*,)

Such is life, I will have to wait till next time.

Was your one built for the drag strip?

Wasn't too keen on the PP front end at first but the more I looked at your's the more I loved it

Just noticed how your intercooler is setup, how is it getting airflow into the boot :-k Can't see any cut-outs?

yes boot floor is there, mainly to stop heat from the exhaust.

from this shot you can see the intercooler.

i plan to put 2x spal fans in the boot instead of 1.

WHAT!

thats amazing.
tho was confused why the power was reduced on the car. said it went from 380 to 280hp...but no real reason.

anyway, my car aint far off PP goodness anyway. apart from the kit.

arh man, different time, and i would of had that for the asking price.

Apparently the Turbo on it now isnt the one PP fitted to the car, maybe that caused the change in Power?

I know, someone on this forum (or another one not sure) said it had a different turbo fitted some time after it arrived here from Japan
