Stainless steel cancer bars
Pleased to announce the release of our stainless steel cancer bars. The originals are renowned for rotting and failing mot's. Grab a set of ours and you'll never need to worry.
The issue is toyota make them from mild steel, and don't seal the ends, so they rust, usually inside out. If yours look good, remove them and shake them!
Also with clamped pipe you have to becareful how you finish the ends, other wise you loose all structural rigidity.
Our stainless bars are made from 5mm plate, angled, tigged and heat treated. All very straight forward. They will obviously never rust. Left in a brushed finish, handy if you want to weld brackets to them in the future etc.

Only available from the workshop.

Has Luke contacted you yet?
Re: Stainless steel cancer bars
Why is Luke (Pacific Works) still a trader on here? He seems to have let quite a few people on here down. Is IMOC doing anything about it?
No 2
Re: Stainless steel cancer bars
I just hope he is OK and I assume some problems have arisen as he has been a long standing member / affiliate so I dont think he is purposely out to mess anyone about...

Re: Stainless steel cancer bars
I wanted a set of these.
is there anyone local to him who knows what is happening?
I've used pw in the past with no problems however it seems a lot of people have been let down recently.

Re: Stainless steel cancer bars
Just like markstevieandmads I was interested in a set or two of these but obviously the negative comments mean that this does not look viable now.
Shame really as the product would seem to be a good one

Re: Stainless steel cancer bars

Rich and others. I write this in my position as IMOC Committee member representing Affiliates. My business status is of no relevance.
IMOC dies not get involved in individual issues between IMOC members and/or Affiliates.
IMOC currently does not approve or disapprove of Affiliates.
IMOC considers it's rules and regulations of Affiliate status sufficient to ensure Affiliates behave in an appropriate manner. Where there is evidence of a transgression of said rules and regulations, IMOC will investigate and take action as necessary.
I can assure you the issues regarding Pacific Works are being discussed at IMOC Committee level.

Re: Stainless steel cancer bars
There are many reasons will spend little time on the club, firstly we just don't have the time. How some affiliates sit on here all day I just can't fathom. MR2s are not the only thing pacific works do, as we also run DriftLimits. We also feel the club is moderated in a bias manner. But that is another can of worms.
Picking up the phone is the best way to get in touch.
Our customer base is vast, and very well looked after. Once under our wing we bend over backwards to help keep these awesome cars on the road.
We are all mechanics and don't have anybody sat in an office all day answering queries, which in turn reduces our customers bills by minimising overheads, but which compromises front of house, for that and any difficulties people have with us, sincere apologies.
I like to think I'm a very easy going chap, and human, so mistakes are made, so please if you have any troubles questions just phone me.
