Cheap as chips and ideal as bit of extra anti-theft backup if you're leaving the car for a couple of weeks to go on holiday or in an airport carpark or whatever.
Fitted mine in 5 minutes and when its removed i keep it on a karabiner with keyring i fitted by drilling a hole in the plastic.

Very good idea! Only thing is wouldn't it cut the power to any alarm system you have?

Know doesn't.
It keeps everything keeps active, clock, stereo, alarm etc.

These aren't a new concept... been around ages.
No. The small fused wire links the two sides meaning the car still has electricity when the main section is diconnected. BUT, if you try to start the car, the starter will draw too much current and pop the small fuse, causing everything to go dead. (And, importantly, the car won't start)

What is it?! lol Does it go on the battery terminals or something?
EDIT just saw the Ebay link, all I initially saw was a picture of a black knob on a carabiner (bet you've never heard that before )

Goes onto batter terminals. Square or round dictates what end.
You just remove the knurled bolt and the fuse holder keeps everything powered up, alarm, clock, stereo etc.
But try and start it without having the knurled bolt in place and the fuse blows total immobilising the car.
Not bad for a fiver really.
