Just a quickie, I'm slowly (long term) getting my mr2 ready ready for the challenge in 2007 or 2008.
I have a load of aftermarket bushings lying around, and im wondering if:
are uprated bushes allowed in the mr2 challenge? cos i dont want to put them on if i just have to take them off again.

IIRC, suspension is NOT free, but bushes are ok. You're best off getting in touch with red dragon to find out for sure.

I think uprated bushes are allowed, however suspension is not free! In the production classes you are not allowed to use any kind of adjustable suspension.

Re: MR2 challenge regs
Just to clarify, bushes and suspension are free. That is you can use polyeurethane bushes and you can put in lowering springs and harder shocks. the only restriction is that you cannot use adjustable units (e.g. Koni adjustable shocks, coil overs etc).
