Driving to work yesterday on a private dual carraige way a strange dark blue shape suddenly filled my rear view mirror, not knowing what it was i pulled over to let it bye, just to see a vision of beauty power past me.Well i had to chase, just to tell what it was you understand, well i was on his tail up to 120 an we carried on like that for a mile untill he dropped it down to 90 for the next 2 miles....it sounded fantastic.... I'd sussed it was a MG X80sv by now when we came to a 3 mile straight bit........... big noise an it was gone, left me for dead......... if the numbers come up this weekend i want one. Just found out that they do one at 969bhp top end 200mph+

The base one is around 400bhp IIRC, but you can specify the level of power as an option, just as you would seat colour or alloy wheels

Had a section on it in this month's EVO. Costs £83k standard, 385bhp. They compared to a Corvette and a TVR Tuscan mk2, both of which were nearly half the price and significantly faster.

I haven't made up my mind on it yet. On paper, it looks great, but the physical shape of the car looks a bit...odd. There's hints of loads of other cars in the shape, and this could have been MG's chance to come up with something special look-wise.

Seeing it in the flesh it had real presence, looked better than the picture an i don't think it was the basic model power wise the way it took off. I'd put it up as one of the fastest things i've ever seen.
