Time for another big build, this time using a bit of a special engine, i have a BRAND NEW Evora S engine sat in my workshop, zero miles, straight out of the box never been in an engine bay...
That's around £30k worth of new engine, i don't have the donor Mk2 yet, so i'm going to take my time finding the right car, thinking about a Rev5 Sonic.
Let the games begin.

Re: Mk2 2gr supercharged
We already see 45bhp more than Lotus do in NA form with these engines, in fact we produce more as NA than the Evora S does in SC form
I'm hoping for a figure around 400bhp and around 360lbs.ft... but not sure what it will be yet.
Our "stock" 2gr NA engines produce the same torque below 3000rpm as a rev3 turbo will at full boost at 5500rpm

Be watching this with huge interest.
Really want a 2GR swap just can't justify the spend
Why oh why can't they be easier to acquire over here.

Re: Mk2 2gr supercharged
They are expensive engines to fit, most justify the cost because you wouldn't be able to buy another car that equals the same performance levels for the money, you could tune a 3s-gte but it really isn't the same at all and has its own issues to deal with.
On the lookout for a Rev5 with a busted motor if anyone knows of one

Looks pretty ropey though. Still, if the sills / arches are good it's worth ago! Bit of a way for Woodsport though as the seller is in London.

Re: Mk2 2gr supercharged
Too rough for this project but thankyou anyway, needs to be pretty good for this engine.
Re: Mk2 2gr supercharged
Thats not a bad looking car, sort of considered it myself for a 1mz transplant, but mrs wouldn't like me having two 2's. (for now anyway)

I've been watching that Sonic, seems very cheap too.... i'm hoping it isn't one of those cars that takes a good photo.

I recognise the plate on it, it's either been through a few hands in the last few years or the dealer is having problems shifting it.
As long as it isn't bent you could take car of rust as long as isn't terminal paul?

Gota be worth a look Paul .. all you need is the body (straight of coarse) nice interior .. your going to swap out engine and running gear.
This is going to be epic are you going to keep the car when done or do you have a buyer in mind

I'm going to keep this one, cruise it around Europe next year and attend a few shows.
