I really hope to be in my MKI leading the Southern convoy, but engine failure is on the horison. If the engine looks like it's not going to make it, I'll probably be in the other half's Scooby - can't miss it, blue with gold wheels

So do I mate [-o<

It's now been booked in for the engine swap 8) Unfortunately budgets and time at the garage doesn't allow it to be done before Bruntingthorpe. The engine should be fine to get me there and back - you'll just have to excuse the body work (some of which is being held together with gaffer tape  )

Just got back from doing a trial run of the planned convoy route.

It's deifinately not the easiest of places to find if you don't know where you are going!

Don't rely on AA routeplanner or Map24 or any of the likes... they don't work. I landed up binning my printouts and using a road atlas. The country roads have a lot of blind rises and corners - take it easy

My mobile is 07834 255302 for those joining the Southern Convoy, but bare in mind I don't know the area well so take a road atlas just in case you get lost if the convoy splits up 8)
