Hello everyone.
Got my 2 out of the garage for the first time this year and the speedo isn't working!! It has been in the garage since November 04. Was working in November.
The car has only been reversed out of the garage for washing and starting to keep everything sweet and I am surprised that the speedo isn't working. Could it be stuck or something like that?
Anyone know how much a new speedo cable is (If it is that)
It's a UK N/A by the way
Cheers

Re: Rev 1 speedo not working NEED CONFIRMATION PLEASE (Update)
Three possible causes:
cable snapped
dodgy speedo clock
speedo drive gear from g/box.
undo the cable at the gearbox end and see if the cable pulls out. If it does it will have snapped.
then take dash clocks out. drive forward (obviously reconnect cable at gear end) see if it moves. if it does your speedo clock is shagged.
If it is the cable, easy way to replace it is to simply slide new cable into the existing sheath, that way it takes about 30secs to put in rather than a couple of hours of replacing the entire cable.

You Truly are the Queen Lauren! If I understand it correctly there are three bolts on the box located on the left hand side of the gearbox that need to be removed in order to get at the gearbox end of the cable. Is this correct?
Thanks for the reply

Ok I have looked for the box with the two bolts that holds the speedo gubbins at the gearbox end and have only found this. Is this what I have to undo.
Starting at the gearbox end
Thanks
