Info: toyota high ratio steering racks from Quaife, and included in the batch are new pinions to make either RHD or LHD 2.5 turn lock to lock MK1 MR2 racks- 25 pinions for each selection, so thats possibly 50 in all.

They include the lengthenend pinion to make the part s correct for the MR2.

Can't say I've played around with steering racks before but I'm not convinced that mine is in the best of condition so I might be in for one of these. Couple of questions though.

Do these kits contain replacments for all the parts that are likely to have worn on a standard rack?
Are there any significant downsides using one of these over a standard rack?
How easy is fitting for a DIY mechanic?

Hi

Am no expert on these, so will ask the guy who offered them to me - he did the technical drawings for Quaife so he will know. :) He has already bought 100 (50 Corolla, 50 MR2) so it will definitely happen now! If I can get 10 people we get the cheaper price.

Will get the info.
