SantaPod 12th March, how do these figures compare.

Post by Chris Lynch »

I organised a meet for the FTOOC at Santapod today, as my FTO is long gone I went in my MR2.

Ran 13.20 in myREV3 T-bar which is running 16PSI boast with a blitz electronic controller, has a de-cat Apexi N1 and HKS air filter. How does this compare to other people with a similar spec.

I have got the bug a bit again now so thinking its time to fit that ECU I have had for ages. There were a couple of other 2's running anyone on here.

Do you think I will get a big difference fitting the pigyback ECU and haveing the car mapped.

Want to beat my mate who has an EVO 6 and ran 12.7.

Best 60ft was 1.89

Top Speed for the 13.2 was 102 but I did a 13.3 and the top speed was 105 but had a worse 60ft.

I have done quite a bit of drag racing before in my old FTO but this is the first time the MR2 has been running right becuase my BOV was causing a boost leak.

Funny day today because at 1 point grip was terrible but later in the afternoon the far lane was really good and thats when I did my best time.

I left the bloody slips at the GF's mums house on the way back but as soon as I get them back I can scan them in. Who do you send them to to get in the 1/4 mile league??

i'd say the 105 trap shows you are capable of dipping in to the 12's on your current set up, every 10th lost on the 60ft can be as much as .2/3 over the line so with a bit more consistency on the launch, you'll be in the 12's

Yeah Street tyres yoko's they have been very good, its made a difference going back to 15" rims too (thanks to a kind member on here who sold me some cheap ones)

I have not dyno'd the car yet but might do it now to see what sort of power its putting out. Will have to try and get to some more MR2 events.
