It sounds like a banshee screaming..... I'm going to change it. Just need to know which is best to go for. I've changed my fuel filter thinking the noise was that.

I've read some people remove the relay? And run. A thicker gauge wire. Or is that for high power pump.

All you guys with who say they can't hear the Walbro must also get nagged alot by your wives or GFs, because they sound about the same

I've got used to mine, on normal day to day driving it's quiet, only after say a motorway run does it start nagging and i only hear it when i pull up

Are the guys with the whining ones definitely genuine?

I know mine is and it doesnt make any more noise than the standard one.

I used the Walbro guide to determine if it was legit. Always the chance it's fake. Did you watch my Instagram video? You can hear it at idle loudly. And the. You can hear it pickup during acceleration etc

Bought from a proper seller, paid the correct price, and it looked legit.

Noisy Walbro 255's are incredibly common.

My noise ended up being due to rust in my tank. Which is not cleaned out. The sock was filthy. Imagine it's caused the pump to run harder than it should do. Hence the noise increased the more I drove it. I'm now running an aem 320 and you can't hear it at all.

Just need to get a quieter exhaust now. Help :thumleft:

HKS Hi Power is a JASMA approved system I believe, which means it won't be that loud.

For the Japanese made stuff, anything JASMA approved should be not much louder than stock.

I've actually got a HKS Hi-Power Silent i'm taking off mine in the next couple of weeks, i'm replacing it with a PP Departure Pro 2.

It's in great condition and it's something i'll be looking to sell it if you're interested

If you see an MR2 with a raised engine cover, the bottom line is it's probably faster than your car.
