Hello chaps,
Last October I changed both left and right handbrake cables, but now after 6 months I noticed that the rubber boots on both had completely perished and the o/s cable is seized, I was very careful when replacing them and am certain that I didn't make a mistake.
But this seems odd, parts were from TCB, could it be due to a mistake I made? Could it be caused by over tightening? Or more likely to be bad parts?
Thanks all.

The Pagid cables are cheap, and it shows. They're about £20 each IIRC most of the time.
They work fine, but they are a yearly service item.
OEM cables are much higher quality, but are also quite a bit more expensive.

Are the blue print ones any better? Mr2 Ben has them on his site.

Not tried them, I just put new Pagid ones on every year or so...
I doubt they're that much better though, I've yet to see any that last as well as OEM does.
