Hahahah!! I know I know, The real rush will be running in the engine! As soon as the car's MoTd I'll be using it ad my daily driver. My daily routine can see me doing 120 miles in a day so shouldn't take long!

Right, So managed to get away from work. The short story is i'm not getting a spark. I get spark when testing the coils (plug out, Spark confirmed) but no spark when cranking. The ECU is recieving signal to fire the coils but for some reason isn't. The wiring is right as the coils wouldn't fire under test. It's a head scratcher but we'll get there :)

Coolant neck on. Think we've figured out what the issue is so hopefully get it fired up tomorrow.

So, The car fired up, Run for about 5 seconds and conked out. Can't get it to fire up again. Pulled the plugs, They were wet. Dried them off and put them back in, Still no joy. I thought it maybe timing related (it's deffo not 180 out) but I'm getting no splutters at all, Keep in mind it already started (and actually sounded quite smooth). So god knows what's going on.

Yeah well chuffed!! Obviously it's idling way too high and it is running rough. The timing does need set properly and I'm still waiting on my map sensor arriving. But hey! It starts up at least!

Yeah sounds great eh! Sounds like racecar :) My map sensor arrived tonight right before I left for work. Will get this wired in tomorrow and get coolant bled. I've been too afraid to let the car idle for any length of time without the map sensor plugged in. With a bit of luck I'll be on the road next week :)

So car is now idling beautifuly, I've bled the coolant system (which was bone dry) and have decent heat from the heaters. Very annoyingly i have a small drip at the coolant sensor (the dash one) so I'll probably get a new sensor. I've bodged it up with ptfe tape for now. The car does take a while to start when cranking and is over fuelling when revved so I'm hoping it's just a case of tweaking some settings, The link ecu doesn't seem to be able to see the other coolant sensor which is brand new. Again hopefully it's a daft setting in the ECU. Tomorrow I'll be bleeding the clutch, I've run the car up to temp a few times now and all appears to be ok. I want to do away with the coolant overflow bottle but I'm not sure how so I'll start another thread about that.

So, I Changed the fuel system back to a normal return today reloaded the map to the ECU. Whatever my issue was is now gone . Changed the settings to my own map sensor. And other than a tiny wee flat spot on throttle the car is running really well. With a bit of luck my coolant bottle will arrive tomorrow so I can install it then take the car for an moT when i have time. Very pleased with myself :D As stated already this map is just to let me get 1000 miles on the car before changing the turbo, fuel pump and intercooler.

Yeah man! Went to take it out the other say and found a small leak from the fuel rail somewhere. So away investigate that today first and replace whatever needs sorted. Frustrating to say the least haha!

So I've managed to get my turbo back so I'll deffo be using the one I originally bought from AGP. I keep looking at turbos and keep coming back to that one. So I'm glad I managed to get it back. It's oil fed only so I'd only need to reroute the water line back into itself (literally a length of pipe) and change the oil line. I had a Vband downpipe for it and it was about 1 inch away from fitting so very little modification required there. Over the holidays I'll get the fuel rail sorted and get it away for an MoT.

Turbo specs here:

55lbs / min approx 525 horsepower

Cool man, If I end up stuck for whatever reaon I'll give you a shout. You don't have the spacers between the head and rail do you? I am waiting on Toyota phoning me tomorrow but had nothing but bother with them lately!
