Replacement Mr2 sills - ball park cost

Post by Racer7 »

As above really.

For too many years I've ignored a small rust hole on my Mr2. Even worse I've tried to cover my eyes to it by putting sideskirts on.

Seems like the rear sill is now a more commonly manufactured part and routine area of repair. To that end, has anyone used or can attest to the quality of this replacement piece:

And also what a rough price (SE England) would I be expecting per side?

Thanks - possibly time to sort this out or risk the whole car.

I've had my sills replaced using the panels you've linked. Quality seemed fine to my untrained eye. Paid £325 to a mate to fix on top of part cost.

Expect minimum of £500 for both sides for a good job IMO assuming you want it painted and matched to the car, blended into the doors for a metallic colour etc.

Depends on how much actually needs to be replaced, and how bad they are inside. What looks like a bit of rot on the outside can end up being quite an extensive job inside.
