[Mk2] [Turbo] HT Lead orientation

Post by rossonza »

Ive got new HT leads to fit, and ive also fitted a new dizzy cap/rotor arm.

im a bit lost where it comes to plugging the leads back in.

my dizzy has 1,2,3,4 on it.

Does this mean 2 on dizzy goes to cylinder 2 on the head?

or 2 on the dizzy goes to the plug which fires 2nd at port 4 on the head.

my understanding is the cylinder head firing order goes (1-3-4-2) - 1 being closest to the timing belt.

Thanks
Ross
