just checked Bigred and they require your original calipers first before they can refurb meaning car out of action for however long it takes them. Anyone recommend other refurbishment companies that don't require your calipers up front?
cheers Allan

These are not cheap but they have new seals and pistons.

You could contact them about any specific requirements you have ie colour if black coating not to your taste. They may even offer a rebate after you send them yours.
Alternatively if you are not coating them, and the pistons aren't rusted solid you could refurb yourself in a day using the biggred kit. You would need the toyota tool (that you can buy from a dealer for about £4) to hold down the self adjuster mech while you remove the circlip. You will also need a pair of long nose pliers with fine tip to remove the circlip (unless you own some long nose circlip pliers!!). This is the trickiest bit of the whole refurb. The rest is just disassemble clean, grease and reassemble.

Euro car prats do em for about £75 each last time I checked. Take yours off get a lift to ECP swap em for new ones... No surcharge no wasted time.

TCBparts.co.uk did me a rear pair on exchange.
They send out the new ones and you have to send back the used ones. if you don't send them back within a set period of time they charge an extra fee. I think the return time was 2 weeks but it was some years ago now so best ask.
