Yep, car looks like it drives well
Re: 1st Track day at brands hatch first time with my mr2 445bhp
Im changing my front tyre to 215 as right now it's doesn't turn in very well I have to accelerate more to turn the car on these 245...
Soo tempted to buy some r888r after seeing how good that orange bmw with those full slicks corner and brake soo late soo well...must feel insane. It looks like he didn't even need to brake.
I was running road tyres... goodyears f1 asymmetric 2 xload

Nice video, looks like the chassis has got lots more to give. I'm sure track tyres will make it a lot more fun.

as mentioned in your other post, cool vid, i would be a little more consistent on your hand position, it does tend to move around wheel which is what i read to avoid. and maybe its just me but you hold it quite high.
anyways,
im a total noob as well to track, but its very good fun

How are you guys mounting your cameras? I read the tracks dont allow suction pad mounts

Re: 1st Track day at brands hatch first time with my mr2 445bhp
Suction pad for me and a teather.
Silverstone state no suction mounts but we didn't have any issues with a few of us with them on the mr2 track day above.
If you teather it also it's kind of a safety that if it comes unstuck it won't go flying anywhere. I think that's the main worry tracks have.

Indeed, I'd be inclined to agree.
You're nice and smooth already, and you certainly seem to be driving well within yourself and the (super-quick) car. However, (and this also goes for jimGTS), you need to be sitting closer to the steering wheel and/or more upright.
Your arms should be bent roughly to 90deg at the elbows when sitting upright with your hands at 3 and 9. If not, you end up stretching to reach the top of the wheel (as in both videos), meaning slightly less control when you need to move it quickly.
Heel and toe makes hard braking easier, and ultimately makes you quicker into and through the corners. It's really hard at first, because it's such an illogical thing to be doing - but persistence is worth it.

I'll add to the 'noobs at trackdays videos' with a lap at Snetterton 300 -

Nowhere near the power levels mentioned elsewhere in this thread though

Nice!
I have a sprint on the Snetterton 300 later this year - looks like an awesome track

Re: 1st Track day at brands hatch first time with my mr2 445bhp
It's really fun. Now that I have some rear tyres that actually work properly I'm sure I could go a lot faster - you can see in the video I'm having to constantly make corrections, that's where I can feel the back end moving around. After that session there were chunks missing from some of the tread blocks
May have to see if I can get another session in while the car is still NA!
