Re: [FINALIZED] Genuine Raybrigs - Plug and Play System
I'm curious, what does the extra wiring do differently to the stock wiring?
Re: [FINALIZED] Genuine Raybrigs - Plug and Play System
You know what Shinny, I'm not sure! I've never had a pair just assumed it was part of the package.
It uses the stock headlight grounds, and other end links to battery positive.
I assumed being higher power lights they needed higher quality cables (they are beefy!) and being a complete 1 piece setup not homemade, i thought part of the kit! Is that not normally the case?

Any halogen headlight setup would actually benefit from a dedicated high quality loom like that.
The voltage drop induced by stock wiring (on many cars not just 2's) has a significant effect on light output, there used to be a good graph on the osram site plotting halogen light output vs input voltage but I can't find it.
Best I can do is the graph found in this thread

Thanks tiff_Lee, that would explain it! The wiring loom looks to be made by SS Limited, and is definitely MR2 specific, so i thought it was standard with the kit
