Looking forward to seeing pictures and reviews of these as it's something I will be looking to add to my track car in order to get rid of some more weight.

Must get the engine built first! ](*,)

Me too, I should be receiving the photos soon. Now who has a drive through freezer to test these.

I know how you feel, never enough money to do all the mods on the car when you want them.

No need for a drive through freezer... Bring a car up to Scotland - the weather is b0ll0cks all the time!

It's more lack of time with me to be honest... Never get a minute with it! I've got lots of little jobs to do before the engine goes to get built.

Here's one of the heated windscreens before it gets boxed up.

Collected my two screens today they look great. The two guys running the shop were very knowledgeable and have decent pedigree as they supply heated screens to the hyundai wrc team so im happy they will be a great bit of kit

Sorry to hear about your mother's condition.

You have a lot on your plate.

Good luck with the house and the rest of the other things.

Received mine today  Installation wise hoping it'll all be finished in the next 2 - 3 weeks. As mentioned already it'll be installed during the re-spray which will be booked in end of the week.

Got mine here, haven't unwrapped it yet though.

How easy are these things to fit? Am I better off paying someone to fit it? I don't mind having a go myself, just not sure how easy it is!

Ricky evans motorsport who had them made sell all the correct sealant/primer for fitting the hardest part will be removing your old screen carefully, they'll happily talk you through it but by time you've bought tools and the glues it won't be far off paying a pro. Paul woods also has experience of diy fitting screens he's discussed it on twobrutal before

Alternatively they gave me a card for a mobile guy who fits alot of there screens nationwide

I would recommend a qualified windscreen fitter to install your heated windscreen.

If incorrectly fitted, the heating elements may fail.

Just checked with the parts guys at work and mine is here :thumleft: no idea when it came though :D
We've been slightly sidetracked by having the new Mustang in the showroom \:D/ (chances of having one as my next demo????)

Anyway back on topic, the timing is great as my current screen has got a 4" horseshoe shaped crack on the bottom of it. Was thinking of getting it replaced with the new one via the insurance, any ideas how valid that is as an idea?

Mines finally all in place and wired in!

First impressions - It works! The install for the wiring was simple, but I need a frosty morning to test it properly. I did notice the heating element doesn't cover the entire screen, only 90% so you have gaps on the left and right hand side edges which don't de-mist / clear. I'll try and make a video of it working on a frosted screen to show case the speed and effectiveness. The good news is the elements are very thin so you don't notice them unless you look really close from the inside. I've not had any issues with mobile phone signal or GPS use since the install.

Thanks for the info Nathan.

I would love to see a video of this working on a really cold and frosty day.
