I'm about to order a HKS timing belt, but I'm not sure if it's a Gen2 or Gen3/4.
Can anyone help?

Re: 5SGTE timing belt - Gen2 or Gen3/4???
I'm guessing that would depend on the bottom end. Do you have a gen2 block and ancilliaries, do you have a gen3 block and ancilliaries or do you maybe have a frankenstein motor with combinations of both?

1999 Toyota Camry (5SFE) 2.2L bottom end.

Doh my bad........of course!!!
Re: 5SGTE timing belt - Gen2 or Gen3/4???
It depends on what cylinder head you are using.
Rev3+ head you need a Rev3 belt (HKS part no 24999-AT006 with 177 teeth).

Re: 5SGTE timing belt - Gen2 or Gen3/4???
Rev3 oil pump pulley = Rev3 belt, rev2 pulley = rev2 belt
Re: 5SGTE timing belt - Gen2 or Gen3/4???
The Rev3 oil pump pulley has less teeth to run oil pump faster. Belt has less teeth accordingly
Camry pulleys have square teeth if I remember correctly so should have been swapped to rev2 or Rev3 pulley so will need to know which one went on to recommend a belt
