Auto Windscreens

Post by Mullen »

Took a big stone to the face crossing the Severn bridge last week so on the recommendation of another member, [Lukee] gave Auto Windscreens a call.
They came today and fitted a new bronze smoked oem screen with integral aerial for £75 [fully comp insurance] :D

Integral aerial? In the windscreen? How does that work?

I have no idea as I don't listen to the radio - it also begs the question why have the rear aerial if there's one in the windscreen.

It connects to a plug under the wiper cover, regardless.

The aerial is the screen is an AM aerial and the one that sticks up out of the back is a FM aerial.

Also only the 'premium sound system' featured this 'diversity' aerial setup so most '2s don't have it.

Either way, getting a proper Toyota JDM screen at that excess is a fantastic result :thumleft:
