We are so lucky to have some very good MR2 specialists in this club...Rogue are no exception. Contacted Patrick over the weekend (whilst he was away racing) on the off chance i could pop by today to help diagnose my cold start issue. He kindly arranged to accommodate me and had Matt at my disposal for pretty much the whole day.
After doing all the normal checks we came across a small filter that was blocked which was causing air starvation (best way i can describe it!) to the engine. Old filter whipped off, and a replacement hose fitted to a welded stabbing from the main air intake. Problem solved!
In addition to this, the car was hoisted up on the ramps, and given a good check over (its been over 6 years since the engine was rebuilt by Matt and the team). He even knocked up some special stainless clips that hold on my Autopista side skirts replacing these blobs of rust!
Should of took a pic of the new ones...
And whilst they were toiling, I was enjoying a nice pub lunch in the sun!
Lovely part of the country.
Thanks for the hospitality, the tour of the race cars including the impressive GT86 and the endless cups of coffee!
