Well, just renewed my policy with Adrian Flux. Once again, not quite the cheapest insurance I could get but overall package wise it was the best for me.

£460 Fully Comp with a £250 excess with all mods fuly declared. :)

The reason I opted for AF though is that they were the only one who was happy for teh policy to be in the Girlfriends name with me as a named driver to allow her to retain her no claims bonus. As she drives a Motability car just now, we need to alternate who is the policy holder on the 2 in order for both of us to keep our NCB. She has 5, I have 6 and we dont want to lose either. AF agreed that the policy can be in her name but with me as the main driver after I explained the situation. All other companies said no, including Sky.

In the end, it was only £10 more than Sky were wanting so I reckon it was worth it.

Thanks a lot guys :thumleft:

I rang the above number.

They said it was accounts renewable. I asked for Dan, they said 'Dan who?'

I gave them all my details. They said they'd call back.

A few days later I called them back. They said they'd call me back.

Over a week later I have heard nada.

I don't think they insure cars anymore. I pm'd Dan and he tried to help and get me a call back so i could get a quote but still nothing.

If you have to beg and plead for a quote what would making a claim ever be like??

On the other hand, my 2000 model n/a SW is now insured through AIB.

Hi,

If it is a simple like for like replacement, it's declared as a 'Standard Engine Replacement'

Kind regards,
Dan.

Even if it was a rev1 3sgte being replaced with the newer (but slightly more powerful) rev3 3sgte Dan?
