Downtime this afternoon

Post by BenF »

Folks,

Server crashed this afternoon taking the site database with it around 3pm. Have been working with the Hosting providers to get the server back up and sort the databases - now all done.

Any issues, let me know.

OK, looks like the server still isn't 100%.

It was down for the last 30 minutes with the same issue as before.

The forum is back, but will be looking at the issues and may need to take IMOC offline for a few hours shortly, and again tomorrow to run some more checks across the disks.

Update :
We have lost 11 user accounts in the database crash - two have been fixed, and I'm waiting on details of another three who have been in touch.

If your account has gone and you are unable to login, please re-register and then PM me with the details of your old account name, and associated email address and I should be able to fix from there.

OK, an update - accounts that are, or have been premium members can be restored fairly quickly as the information needed for the restoration is in a number of different places.

If your account has not been a premium member, at the moment there's no easy way to reliably identify your old account and restore it - in this case you would need to create and use a brand new account.
