Hello,

I have spoken to the marketing team that organise the discount and they have confirmed that this is not extended to Flux Direct.

Sorry I could not help any further.

flux have decided to send me a letter saying that there going to cancle my insurance in 4 days because i havent sent documents of a thatcham alarm even though i sent a form of saying that i dont have a thatcham alarm on the car as i couldnt afford to get one. thats grate considering i only have tomorrow to ring them and they have allready messed the paperwork up before with my policy and had nearly £1400 in 2 months off me fro the mr2.

steer clear i wont be sleeping tonight as if my insurance is cancled im basically ruind as ive lost the last of my money paying them a £1000 deposit.

i had the same with them over my jag insurance.
they wated the limited milage form.
i sent them 3 coppies over 2 weeks and they still claimed not to have it.
kept threatening to cancel the insurance.

in the end i sold the jag and cancelled the insurance.

i'm with aviva on the mr2 now.

How much difference will speaking to you affect the online quote I have been given. ITs £400 more than I can get elsewhere and £300 more than I got through Confused.com.

Hiya,

The internet quotes are just an estimate, so please feel free to PM me your surname, postcode and a contact telephone number and I will look into this for you.

Thanks

What a bunch of ROBBING B***tards....obviously stupid too, because they cant even do their job properly !!!

Aidrian Flux....Steer well clear off !!
I have had Gti's,a cossie, an Audi quattro, a Mr2 turbo etc etc etc insured with Flux over the past 19 years.
They USED to be one of the best.....Now....just one of the WORST !!

I ask Dan for a callback from Flux for today, but i decide to ring the club line and get a quote instead about 12.50 p.m when no call arrived. The quote is slightly cheaper than Admiral at about £2200 pounds for 12 months third parts fire and theft with the mods declared and a £258.23 initial payment then a further £233.64 exactly a month for 10 months i am told by the saleman.
YES....with installments it is over £2600 quid......so i swallow the crap they tell me, i then told the salesman i need to deposit another £50 so i can pay the initial payment of £258.64 to them today.
I drive to the bank, deposit the money, drive home........ring Flux...........and in that 50 minutes the initial payment go's UP TO £325 and so many pennies.
I then have to ARGUE the point and make the chap listen to my call recorded earlier to admit they MADE A MISTAKE, AND CAN NOW ONLY DO THE £325 INITIAL PAYMENT !!!

I would rather sell the car than give them the satisfaction of RIPPING ME OFF !!!

Rant over....but think on this guys and girls, insurance is basicly money for nothing !! The only time i have claimed in 19 years is once on my RS turbo escort....and they weaseled out of that payout too.
So yes i am aggreaved, yes i am pi$$ed.....will i ever trust Aidrian Flux again....A Big Fat No To That one.
Infact.....all it has done is burn a reminder in my brain to allways tell my mates and family to never use Flux again, just to find somone else !!!

And thank you Dan....but i dont need you to look into this, because if the quote can change in 50 minutes of earth time...frankly...whats the point....by the time you get back, the quote will have changed again i bet !!!

Ring up for a quote, then ring up again and tell them your from IMOC.

Do you think they will add the discount of 15%? They don't, they won't and they'll BS you whilst they are doing it. I just hung up in the end.

What do they do for the mr2 community? Fxxk all.

At least SKY insurance give a little back to the peeps by way of involvement in the community.

When sending documents of that nature and urgency surely one would use recorded delivery? Then there can be no argument.

Yeah I have been, they still try and argue about it. They just try it on because it would be easier for me to pay it then go through this months of hassle.

I've sent a letter from the DVLA proving my case via recorded delivery and heard nothing back so I take that as it's sorted now. I doubt I'll get any kind of apology though.

I'm with Adrian Flux again as they were the only company who could beat my renewal against Aviva.

But when I wanted to swap an Astra Sport (unmodified) onto my policy, I was quoted £750, £310 more than I'm paying for my Mr2.

Utter rubbish.

Thankfully got a temporary quote from Be Wiser for £70 for a month.

Two years ago when I was unemployed they wanted to charged me £888 TPFT for my Mr2 because unemployment seriously puts your premium up? Disgusting.
